No matter who you are it is always nice to be asked to do something. Over here in Sydney we are just about a week and a half out from our annual Hillsong Conference and Kidsong World. We are in thick of it and still trying to recruit leaders. Although we are so close to conference we still need more volunteers to make it the best experience for the people attending our generic zyban conference. There are people that serve every weekend on our teams that are willing and able to serve at our conference, but when I approached them about serving and asked “hey, are you going to serve with us at Kidsong World?” They replied “I haven’t been asked yet”. I was a bit taken back when they said this, but it makes sense. You see people want to feel valued and appreciated and all it took was for me to ask a question instead of just expecting them to sign up. That is all people want, to be valued and appreciated. I think this is something we can all learn from, and after all this life is all about people and relating with them. Instead of always expecting things, lets ask the questions whether it’s big or small and place value on the people in our world. Til next time

Good Job Mike, BTW, why don’t you put each post in a category. You should create different categories like: personal, ministry, jokes, pillow talk etc. Then you could put each post in a category.
