why is it that you always seem to meet with God in the desert place????

I was just thinking about on of our worship songs at hillsong called desert song, and it made me think about where I am right now, and all the things going on around me and how I am just trying to meet with God and have an encounter. I want hear from him so bad right now. I want him to tell me what’s going on and tell me what’s next…. One thing I am sure of is that there is a mountain top on it’s way!!!

My thought for you and me right now is why don’t we desire to have these encounters with God when we are on the mountain??? How do we run out of the desert, go up the mountain and stay there with our encounters and our wanting to meet with God??? I think there are many answers to this question.

One is creativity- find your own way to meet with God.. Who says it has to be a prayer and a verse, or 10 minutes in the morning??? Love God and do what you want

Two is consistantcy- day in day out, meet with God and don’t get familiar

Three is devotion- if you are devoted to a sport you will practice that all the time to be the best you can, and you won’t practice the same stuff, the excersises change. That’s kinda like us with God, it doesn’t need to look the same everday, this isn’t religion it’s relationship!!! We can do different things each day and make us more rounded and better at meeting with God!!!

These are my thoughts…. I love the ride!!!!
