I was thinking the other day about this thought…. Who is the next you????

 I remember not too long ago one of my leaders Beci ( Dave Wakerley’s wife ), was talking to another leader in the kids department and this girl was talking about all these ideas and plans who on her team can do what… and then Beci just said.. you know what thats great, but who is the next you??? who are you raising up to take your place????

I was challenged when I heard this and then I kind of put it back on the shelf to think about on another day. Well that day came and now im posting about it. I am quite blessed to have a few amazing interns that work with Voltage on the city side of Hillsong Church and my goal is raise them up to be amazing leaders no matter what area of church life they go to, but I never thought about who will be the next me…

At Hillsong in some of my classes we talk about our Timothy’s and who we are raising up, I just never took it to the next step, which is, who will be taking my place???? Paul raised to up Timothy and I need to raise up someone so I can move onto the next thing and move onto what God has called me to do. I recon God doesn’t want us to stay where we are. He always wants us to move up and keep growing. So who is the next you????? It’s a good thing to think about and I encourage you to do so. Until next time….
