I thought I would take a few minutes and run you through what my weekends normally look like. It’s quite hectic and I am by far not the only person who has a weekend like this. We have many volunteers and staff who insane weekeneds. In a lot of churches, what we do in a weekend is like a month and a half to them…..WHOA!!!!!
It is Saturday morning and I woke up at 7am - I layed in my bed and looked at emails and then hopped in the shower, put on some clothes, grabbed a delightfully tatesful banana and headed to church where I started work at 8am
I took my lunch at 12:30pm and then back at 1pm to finish up. I work til 4:30 on my venue team and then I head straight to our second aud where we have our primary kids (All Stars & Fun House) program on the weekends for sound check and rehearsal because I am leading Kids worship tonight. I finish rehearsal at about 5:30 when our doors open and we start taking kids. I go on at about 6:10pm and our worship set runs for about 20 minutes. After that I go downstairs to our early childhood programs and sing a few songs with them.
7pm I get back on to work and on the venue team and work til 10pm. I head home as soon as we lock up the building and I’ll get ready for the next day.
Sunday mornng I wake up at 6am, I shower and put on clothes and head to church to be there for a 7am start. I’ll be running the 8am Voltage service and then straight after I will be heading to Hills for the 10:45 Voltage service out there and then rehearsing for a summercamp item we are doing next week at Voltage summer camp. I’ll leave hills as soon as I am done and head straight back to the city campus where we still have 2 more services to do. After glutamine 1,000 mg the 7 sunday night service we pack down primary and go home, but for me I am up at 6 and back to church monday morning.
I love church and I love what I do. If I didn’t and God wasn’t involved it would honestly be just pure insanity
