So the other day I was teaching scripture at my primary school in Penshurst and I was looking at some school pictures in the office. I noticed that 4 of my students from last year were the 4 school captains. I immediately started thinking about my legacy.
I loved that class, they were some of the best kids you could find. I love the class the I have as well (just so you know). Now I don’t read too much of John Maxwell, but he definitely said it right when he said “everything rises and falls on leadership”. I am not taking full responsibility for these kids being in the position that they are in, but i know i had something to do with because of what I am called to do and what I do. I know that I am called to be a leader and to raise up leaders. I know that I invested into those kids and fed them with everything I had.
I remember when Robert Fergusson lectured in one of our classes at Bible college and talked about when he preaches he doesn’t just preach to the people in the audience, but the people that the audience will preach to and influence and so on and so forth. And thats what I did with those kids. I gave them something that not only is for them, but for the people they come in contact with. Its generational leadership and thats how I want to be remembered. I want to see the people I input to go farther than I can and will. I want to do whatever I can to get people to the height of their potential. Its not about me, It’s about who I am doing it all for. That’s how I want to be remembered….. What about you??? What legacy will you leave???

Love that you are back blogging! A quick thought though: You’re = You are. It works, but in a different way.
