About

Mike Vogel blogs here about stuff that may or may not be relevant and insightful.

We are only a few days out from our annual conference and wow is it exciting!!!!! We as a Children’s ministry will see a few thousand kids from ages 0 - 12 and we have an epic week planned to impact and change this generation. I oversee the preteen ministry for this conference and I am so stoked to see what God is going to do in these kids lives!!!!

I might not beĀ  posting much over the next few day, but I am sure that i will have heaps of stories and testimonies of what God is going to do over this week. Make sure you check back in a few days and if your lucky you might get some of the inside scoop of Kidsong World 08…. Until next time, Peace

No Worries

June 30th, 2008

I thought I would take this moment to share one of my favourite quotes… “worrying is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do, but it doesn’t get you anywhere”… Oh the lessons I have learned from my cinematic adventures!!!

Can I ask you something???

June 26th, 2008

No matter who you are it is always nice to be asked to do something. Over here in Sydney we are just about a week and a half out from our annual Hillsong Conference and Kidsong World. We are in thick of it and still trying to recruit leaders. Although we are so close to conference we still need more volunteers to make it the best experience for the people attending our conference. There are people that serve every weekend on our teams that are willing and able to serve at our conference, but when I approached them about serving and asked “hey, are you going to serve with us at Kidsong World?” They replied “I haven’t been asked yet”. I was a bit taken back when they said this, but it makes sense. You see people want to feel valued and appreciated and all it took was for me to ask a question instead of just expecting them to sign up. That is all people want, to be valued and appreciated. I think this is something we can all learn from, and after all this life is all about people and relating with them. Instead of always expecting things, lets ask the questions whether it’s big or small and place value on the people in our world. Til next time

Apple in Austrailia

June 23rd, 2008

Well finally last week at 5pm the first Apple store in Australia opened!!!!! The queue was unbelievable, It started Wednesday morning at 8 Am with the first person, a woman from Melbourne. From there on the line increased and around twenty or so people camped out in front of the store. Unfortunately I was unable to camp out, but i did manage to get in the store at 10:55 that night right before closing!!! It was one of my proudest moments… Here are some pictures of my adventure and the store.
